Decision Making / Board Meetings
For those of you who have been with us over time, you have seen firsthand how we make big decision. For example, when we considered expansion there were many parts of the process – parent feedback, teacher input, committee research, family surveys, financial impact analysis, and board approval were all part of lengthy process we went through to ensure we were heading in the right direction. Our charter renewal is another example of the team approach to obtaining and analyzing information that impacts our community. Big decisions are made with big input but we also utilize a similar process for all decisions. While we don’t have a big decision like expanding or renewing on our immediate radar, we want you to know that we take our obligation to make decisions on behalf of the students, families and staff very seriously. No decision that impacts children is taken lightly and we honor our commitment to act in the best interest of FSMA at all times.
Want to learn more about our processes and hear our discussions first hand? Join us at a Board Meeting! Typically, they occur the fourth Thursday of every month (with a few exceptions). The next meeting is September 27th in the Lower School at 6:00 p.m.
