FSMA’s Location Has Been Secured!

After much hard work, we have secured our first choice for a location! First State Montessori Academy will open its doors at 1000 French Street in downtown Wilmington, Delaware. It is conveniently located in close proximity to other downtown charter schools and businesses and has everything our school and its students will need to prosper and grow.

The former preschool and child development center was built in 1999 and no cost was spared in its construction. It is a highly secure building that is 3-stories high and has two large, open-air play yards, so children can play in the fresh air every day. Many of its rooms and hallways are beautifully painted with murals, and they have large windows, access to kitchen facilities and have been wonderfully maintained.

It is more than we could have hoped for in a building, and we cannot wait to open its doors to FMSA parents and students! We hope to arrange events and tours in the space before class starts in late summer, so keep an eye out for updates.
