Counselor’s Corner

Welcome to the new school year!  It’s hard to believe, but another school year is underway. Laura Schwait and Carla Broadway, the school counseling and behavior support team, are looking forward to once again seeing familiar faces (behind the masks!) as well as the new ones. We would like to share some of the programs the team offers. Each year individual counseling and small groups are available for our FSMA students. Individual school counseling is typically short-term as a response service for acute difficulties. The goal is to work with the students to have the skills and knowledge to manage whatever situation they find themselves in. When appropriate,  we recommend outside resources such as an individual therapist.
