FSMA teachers will be offering summer enrichment programs for our students. These
programs are designed to give children more experience with our curriculum topics, to
help them continue interactions with schoolmates over the summer, and to provide
exciting learning opportunities for our students.

  • All sessions will be led by FSMA teachers
  • Sessions will run Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Parents must provide transportation
  • Cost $100
  • Camps will be filled on a first come/first served basis

Session 1: July 17 – 20

Mindfulness and Yoga
(for children entering 3rd–7th grade)
Join 4th/5th/6th grade teacher, Karen for this week of mindfulness and yoga. The week will focus on building a strong body and mind through many different movements and exercises helping children develop concentration and self-awareness.
Crochet Camp
(for children entering 2nd–7th grade)
Join Lisa Cleveland at Crochet Camp and learn this fun craft while making some fun projects. Crochet is great for strengthening math skills like adding and multiplying, plus it’s relaxing and super creative! We’ll use yarn to spruce up some flip flops and create stuffed toys. No experience needed and all materials included.
Lego Camp
(for children entering 1st–4th grade)
Join 4th/5th/6th grade teacher, Julie for building, engineering, designing, creating…all with legos (and maybe a few other similar building materials). This camp is designed to stretch children’s thinking about building and inspire them to create in new ways.
Capoeira Camp
(for children entering 1st–5th grade)
Join Chris Devany, one of our visiting artists from last school year, for Capoeira. Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, and music. This high-energy club will not only be great exercise, but full of learning about another culture!
Drama Camp
(for children entering 1st–4th grade)
Join DramaKids for a week full of drama-related activities. DramaKids is an international program that is coming to FSMA this fall. In this afterschool drama education program children will be given opportunities that focus on building self-esteem, speech patterns and creative thinking in each child. Students will learn about theatrical skills in fun ways with a focus on the art rather than on memorization of lines.
Art and Weaving Camp
(for children entering 3rd – 7th grade)
Join Art Teacher Extraordinaire, Shivaun, for this fun, creative camp. Each day will include a different type of art and weaving with many different materials – yarn, paper, and fabric. Students will be taught techniques and strategies as they design and create throughout the week.

Gaming Club
(for children entering 1st-4th grade)
Join 2nd/3rd grade teacher, Jill in this board game extravaganza camp. Practice the many skills needed for playing board games (taking turns, winning gracefully, losing kindly, etc.) and learn strategies for specific games. Plus, you will get to try out a variety of different games and maybe find some new favorites.
Dance Camp
(for children entering 1st-4th grade)
Join K/1st grade teacher, Ellen for a week filled with different types of dance. Children will learn new steps and may even choreograph a routine to share by the end of the week.
STEM Camp
(for children entering 3rd–7th grade)
Join 4th/5th/6th grade teacher, Karen for this popular topic – STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Each day will include opportunities for thinking and problem solving as children engaged in a variety of experiments.
Drama Camp
