K/1st Grade Preview Program

for FSMA students entering
Kindergarten or 1st grade

K/1st Grade Program available sessions
July 12th – 15th  •  August 2nd – 5th

In order to help children acclimate to a new school, FSMA will be hosting a “Kindergarten/First Grade Preview Program.” These sessions, taught by FSMA teachers, will give children an opportunity to experience parts of the program prior to the first day of school. We have included Kindergarten and 1st Grade this year because we recognize that some 1st Graders have never been to FSMA. Even those who have, could benefit from a summer program. Children who participate will get to:

  • Develop background knowledge with some Montessori materials
  • Build connections with other FSMA students
  • Learn about procedures for things like snack, recess, circle time, etc.
  • Each session will have 2 teachers with 10 – 15 children
  • Have fun!

2nd-6th Summer Academy

for FSMA students entering
2nd – 6th grade

Summer Academy Dates
July 19th – 29th

FSMA teachers are offering a summer enrichment program for our students. This program is designed to help students continue interactions with schoolmates over the summer and to provide exciting learning activities. For students who have been virtual all year, this is a great way to transition back into the school atmosphere. The focus this summer is on student well-being and there will be opportunities for academic learning built into the program in fun ways!

This is a two-week program (8 days). There will be no partial program registrations as the program is built for two weeks. Students will be grouped by grade levels – incoming 2nd/3rd Graders and incoming 4th/5th/6th Graders will be together.

Note: This is not a mandatory program
