Happy Birthday, Maria Montessori!

Maria Montessori was born one hundred and forty six years ago on August 31st. As a Montessori school, we owe much to this dynamic and innovative woman! To honor Maria Montessori, classrooms took time to learn about her life and celebrate her birthday.  Some classrooms read books, some explored materials, some learned about the peace rose, and some even sang “Happy Birthday.”  We feel it is important for the children to feel proud that they are a part of something that has had such a powerful impact on so many people.
